Count Basic - Love & Light
Count Basic has just finished their new album Love & Light, which is scheduled for release in May 2007. Four tracks of the upcoming album can be sampled at MySpace. The story of this group began with the song “All Time High” in November 1991 on the compilation “1010 City Beat Vol. 2″. Since this time the group has pleased the audience with songs of the highest degree. Count Basic return on their new album Love & Light back to the roots. Vocal and instrumental songs in the quality of their first albums.

After a hiatus of 5 years and change of label the new album is overdue. More motivation, away from old structures and back to the typical Count Basic sound, we all love. The album has no fillers and is full of tension. The album contains 13 tracks, most not more than three minutes long. The album is a collaboration of mastermind and guitarist Peter Legat and singer Kelli Sae. Further musicians are Willi Langer (bass), Dirk Erchinger (drums), Dieter Kolbeck (keys), Lauro Bandeira (perc), Martin Fuss (sax), Josef Burchartz (trumpet), Christian Radovan (trombone), Biti Strauchn (backing vocals), Arif St. Michael (backing vocals). The album is groovy and some jazz solos are sprinkled into the melodies. There is soul, funk, jazz and r&b, an entertaining mixture.
