Alexander Kuzmin - A Secret Wish  (2011)

lexander Kuzmin is a composer, arranger, multi instrumentalist. He was born and brought up in Sevastopol (the Crimean peninsula) in a jazz musicians family. In his early childhood he started listening to and playing music. He was greatly influenced by his parents’ music and by such bands as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Jaco Pastorius, John Scofield, Joe Zawinul, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Weather Report, Earth, Wind & Fire, Level 42, Deep Forest, etc.

He got interested in playing the bass and sax and entered a jazz college in Kiev. He participated in various music competitions and jazz festivals. Alexander used to work in some funk-groups and big-bands as a leader and a session musician. He took part in some soloists projects as a composer and arranger.

He comments his new album: Dear Friends! In this new album I wanted first of all to join various kinds of music in a well-balanced way: jazz, R&B, funk, fusion, and of course ethnic and oriental music.
