Chicago OGD (organ, guitar, drums) features three of Chicago’s finest musicians: Darryl Armistead on the Hammond B-3 organ, Barry White on guitar, and Brian McGrew on drums. The original compositions on this CD are indeed as Fine as Wine and as enjoyable as a full-bodied Cabernet on a soft summer evening.
The sounds are funkier and sweeter than the standard organ trio fare. The band takes a relaxed attitude to weaving their sweet improvised melodies throughout the songs. The music creates a romantic atmosphere while encouraging the listener to tap their feet or dance to the rhythms.
